The Workers Socialist League, 1975–1984
The League was formed by the opposition expelled from Gerry Healy's Workers Revolutionary Party in late 1974, led by Alan Thornett, Tony Richardson and John Lister and based in the car plants at Cowley. This site gathers its public press: Socialist Press (256 issues, 1975–1981), Trotskyism Today (17 issues, 1975–1979), the published documents of the Trotskyist International Liaison Committee it founded in 1979, and its other documents. About 4.3 million words, all searchable.
The text is machine-read from the scans and uncorrected: good for finding things, not for quoting. Every issue links to its scan.
